RateIntelUSA may earn a commission from partners featured on this page. This does not influence our editorial ratings.
How we are compensated
RateIntelUSA earns revenue in two ways. Some links to banks, credit unions and card issuers are affiliate links: if you click one and open an account or are approved for a card, the institution may pay us a referral fee. We also sell display advertising.
You never pay more because of this. Referral fees are paid by the institution out of its own marketing budget, and the rate, fee and bonus terms you receive are identical to what you would get going directly.
What compensation affects
- Which products have an “apply” button. A product we have no relationship with is still listed with its rate, but we may not be able to send you straight to an application.
- Which products appear in featured or sponsored placements, which are labelled where they occur.
What compensation does not affect
- Ranking. Rate tables sort by the figure in the sorted column. The highest APY is listed first whether or not that institution pays us. This is enforced by how the tables are built, not by anyone's restraint.
- Inclusion. Products from institutions that pay us nothing are listed throughout the site, including at the top of tables.
- The rates themselves. Rate data is collected from institutions' published disclosures and federal sources. No partner can alter a figure.
- Editorial ratings and reviews. See the editorial policy.
Coverage is not exhaustive
We do not track every bank, credit union or card in the United States, and the products listed here do not represent all offers available in the market. An institution's absence from a table is not a judgement about it — it may simply not be in our dataset yet. Where a product is missing and you think it should be here, tell us.
Card and account terms
Card and account terms are subject to change and to approval. The terms that apply to you are the ones in the agreement the issuer gives you at application, which may differ from what is shown here — APRs in particular are frequently ranges determined by creditworthiness. Always read the issuer's own disclosure before applying.
